As this article suggests, Genius Vision and AplusView should be considered as different software. The two software should be considered as "incompatible".

Installing Genius Vision over AplusView existing installation has not been tested by Genius Vision R&D. The customers who choose to do this way will need to do on their own risk. Doing this will also make standard technical support void.
