"AplusView" was an OEM rebrand of Genius Vision NVR older version of software. It was a project between Asoni (who is Genius Vision's customer) and Genius Vision. After commercial negotiation, the actual date of access termination to Genius Vision License Server is determined to be June. 30th, 2017. All AplusView license must be committed to hardware before this date, otherwise all license will be invalidated. More information please check following topics:

Although the software outlook of Genius Vision NVR and AplusView shares some similarities, the two software should be considered as different software. The business model between Genius Vision and AplusView is also different. If customers that were used to deal with Asoni intend to adopt Genius Vision NVR, they must deal with Genius Vision as a completely new vendor. Installing Genius Vision over AplusView existing installation has not been tested by Genius Vision R&D. The customers who choose to do this way will need to do on their own risk. Doing this will also make standard technical support void.

Due to the reason explained in this article, AplusView software's access to Genius Vision License Server will be completely terminated after June. 30th, 2017 deadline. As a result, all uncommitted license will be void, and therefore cease to function after the deadline.
To prevent possible impact to existing system, users of AplusView should promptly commit their license to the hardware before the deadline. Committed license means the license is detached from any effects from the License Server, and will therefore remain unaffected.
Also, the commit operation must be performed prior to the deadline, otherwise the uncommitted license will still be void (and become uncommittable) after the deadline.
AplusView is expiring, what can their customers do?
It is unfortunate that AplusView software is phasing out of maintenance (after June. 30th, 2017). As users of all kinds of software will encounter the similar situation sometimes. The customers of AplusView can look for an alternative.
Genius Vision "can be" an alternative to AplusView because of their functional similarity. However, Genius Vision is a completely different company, and we do not inherit business relationship from our customers. As a software developer of our own, we have our own rules when dealing with customers. If all our rules can be respected, we don't rule out any possibilities to deal with anyone. The customer should also consider opening the possibility to look for another replacement solution other than Genius Vision in the open market.

No, they don't connect together, and they don't fit in the same project.
As this article suggests, Genius Vision and AplusView should be considered as different software. They should not be considered as "able to connect to each other". They also should not be considered to be put in the same project.
A method that might be acceptable to Genius Vision is that customer should use an independent system (from AplusView) to run Genius Vision. The system running Genius Vision should not be mixed up with systems running AplusView. As a policy, we do not accept technical support request from AplusView software in any way.

AplusView software technical support to their users is conducted by Asoni. When there was still a valid contract between Asoni and Genius Vision, some technical support of the rebranded AplusView software is offered from Genius Vision to Asoni (and Asoni, in turns, offers their support to their customers). However, Genius Vision did not directly reach to AplusView's users.
As this article suggests, Genius Vision and AplusView should be considered as different software. The ways to request for technical support are different. Genius Vision technical support are offered exclusively to Genius Vision NVR software users.

Genius Vision NVR is developed by Genius Vision, who also owns all copyrights of the software in proprietary. The branding "AplusView" is owned by Asoni, however, Asoni doesn't own any copyrights of the software itself.
In a way of speaking, Asoni "licensed" the software from Genius Vision and make it appear to be "AplusView". Unfortunately the licensing contract has expired, and therefore the rights to continue to use the rebranded AplusView software is terminated.
