What is the business scope of Genius Vision

Genius Vision is dedicated to megapixel IP video management software R&D. The core businesses are software licensing. Following we briefly introduce our business scope:

For IP camera

Our software can be compatible with an array of IP camera brands through Community Platform, but we do not provide IP camera.

However, the actual compatibilities can not be achieved alone by Genius Vision, but only by global collaboration.

For PC and hardware and specs

Our NVR software runs exclusively on PC/Windows, not Linux/Mac.

We do not provide PC nor suggest/recommend PC specs because the potential combination is too huge. We consider the integration between NVR software and PC a major value of a qualified system integrator.

As we develop our newly created Example System, we offer a collaboration platform for integrators to contribute their knowledge and hardware to work in conjunction with our R&D capabilities. See: How do I contribute to Example System?

For special function integration

For special requirement such as (1) third party system integration (POS, license plate, face recognition, etc) (2) special/custom function development, which would fall under the scope of paid consultant service.

For technical support

Field problem diagnose

According to the scope of our technical support, diagnose of field problem is outside our standard technical support. However, it can be discussed under the scope of paid consultant service.

For SDK

SDK material is available on our webpage, you can try that for yourself. If you intend to use SDK on production projects, you need to get written authorization from us. If you are qualified for independent SDK development, such authorization can be without charge (free). If you need technical support regarding any SDK materials, it will not be free, which falls under the scope of paid consultant service.

For DVRs or other brands of NVR

Our software only connects to supported IP cameras and our own NVR software. We do not support other kinds of DVRs or NVRs.

For analog video sources, or capture card

For analog video sources, we offer hybrid option using our state-of-the-art 16-channel real-time audio/video H.264 hardware compression capture card. Detailed can be found here. However, such capture card product is build-to-order and requires minimum 50pcs to start a discussion.
